We recently stayed there while mixing business with a bit of leisure, and from the moment we arrived, we felt like we’d made the right choice. The Courtyard by Marriott Youngstown Canfield is situated in the heart of Canfield, Ohio. However, this hotel is actually the largest Marriott hotel in the Youngstown area. Being a huge hotel, it’s so easy to find, especially if you’re traveling via Route 224, Route 11, or Route 80. We also loved that it’s right next to the scenic Kennsington Golf Course, which added a peaceful, upscale vibe to the whole area.
What really makes this location a winner is how close it is to all the essentials. We were just minutes away from Canfield’s top shopping, dining, and entertainment spots. Major corporations like General Motors and AT&T are nearby, too. If you’re headed to a concert or event, venues like the Covelli Centre and Stambaugh Auditorium are a quick drive away. Convenient doesn’t even begin to cover it!
From the moment we walked in, Courtyard Canfield gave off a polished but welcoming feel. The lobby was modern and inviting, with plenty of cozy seating and a clean, vibrant design that made us feel right at home. Fantastic!
Before we even checked in, the front desk staff were already exceeding expectations. They were friendly, accommodating, and helped us secure an early check-in without any hassle. Bonus points: we were able to borrow a board game right from the front desk. Talk about fun!
We didn’t want to settle for less. So, we decided to go with Courtyard Canfield‘s One Bedroom King Suite, and wow—it was even more spacious than we imagined. At 675 sq ft, this suite gave us room to stretch out and relax. The space was clean and thoughtfully laid out, featuring a comfy sofa in the living room, wardrobe, and a plush carpet underfoot.
The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, and there was a flat-screen TV with satellite channels for some winding-down entertainment. Of course, we also have to mention the super comfy bed that could magically put us to sleep in mere minutes. The best part, hands down, was the view of the golf course! It gave our room a serene and upscale feel.
Courtyard Canfield really checked all the boxes when it came to amenities. We made good use of the 24/7 fitness center, which had everything we needed for a quick workout session. The indoor heated pool was a nice surprise, too. It’s located just beside the gym and made for a relaxing evening dip. You can swim regardless of the weather!
Meanwhile, the on-site Bistro was super convenient for grabbing a quick bite. We enjoyed a solid breakfast there, and in the evening, it was a nice spot to unwind with dinner and a Starbucks coffee or cocktail in hand. Great vibe, tasty food, and no need to leave the building.
If you’re traveling for work, Courtyard Canfield has you covered. There are two event rooms, which include a sleek boardroom and a larger 928 sq ft space, as well as a breakout room for smaller sessions. With total event space clocking in at 1,253 sq ft, it’s ideal for small to mid-sized meetings or conferences. You can even take advantage of the Quick Print facility when you need to print urgent documents.
Though we didn’t use the meeting rooms at Courtyard Canfield OH, we did check them out. The meeting rooms were modern and filled with natural light, which we think can make all the difference during long sessions. It’s also nice that the hotel feels both professional and relaxed, allowing guests to balance meetings with downtime.

Whether you’re in town for business meetings, a weekend getaway, or just passing through, this hotel offers everything you need to relax and recharge.
