Costco Just Made A MAJOR Change To How You Can Shop

Published 1 day ago2 minute read

Big spenders at Costco are in for quite the treat. Everyone's favorite warehouse chain is making changes to the way consumers can pay for their bulk purchases online, which, even though they are a good deal, can add up once you fill your cart. Costco has introduced a Buy Now, Pay Later program through its partnership with Affirm, and it's available to all members who make purchases between $500 and $17,500 on its website.

Costco's new repayment plans offer more flexibility for those buying big-ticket items (a party pavilion, perhaps?), allowing customers to pay off their purchase anywhere from three to 36 months later. Repayment terms are available in 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, or 36-month options, depending on the purchase amount and your credit

While the new program offers more leeway when making larger purchases, it does charge interest, so that's something to keep in mind. APR rates range from 10% to 36%, depending on how long you spread out your payments and how much you spend. All payments must be made through Affirm's website or app, but there is an option to set up automatic payment deductions to make things more seamless.

Costco also boasts that your payments will be quite transparent, with no hidden fees, late fees, or sneaky fine print. Everything you need to know about repayment plans will be upfront and listed explicitly on Costco's website and at checkout online.

I wasn't planning on buying a giant freezer that could carry me through the apocalypse, but now I just might need to.
