Chord Commerce has successfully raised $5.5 million in a funding round aimed at expanding its AI-powered data and marketing platform. The round was led by venture capital firm M13, with additional participation from Act One Ventures and GR0 Capital.

The platform developed by Chord is designed to provide AI-powered insights, attribution, and activation, which the company claims eliminates the need for additional tools or manual analysis. This technology is intended to assist commerce brands in making faster and more informed decisions, enabling them to execute real-time marketing strategies.

Chord asserts that its platform can reduce manual work, enhance targeting, and facilitate more informed marketing decisions without incurring the high costs associated with complex data infrastructure. According to the company, brands using Chord's platform have reported up to a 20% increase in marketing return on investment (ROI) and a doubling of campaign velocity.

The platform is said to significantly reduce the time-to-insight from weeks to minutes, allowing brands to act in real-time. Chord describes its platform as the only customer data platform (CDP) specifically built for commerce that transforms data into immediate marketing actions.

The platform is currently utilised by a range of brands, including Ruggable, Sonos, Sakara, Caraway, and Blue Bottle Coffee. Chord aims to make data-driven marketing more accessible, efficient, and impactful for modern brands.
