31-year old American center Robert Upshaw (213-C-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Jiangxi Ganchi and receives a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 33 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Jiangxi in his team's victory, helping them to beat Guangxi (#7, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 101-93. Jiangxi is placed at 2nd position in Chinese NBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Jiangxi won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Upshaw had a remarkable 86.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Jiangxi, through which he has constantly improved. The University of Washington graduate has very impressive stats this year. Upshaw is in league's top in points (3rd best: 33.0ppg) and averages solid 86.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dakari Johnson (213-C/F-1995) of

Hunan Changsha. He is American in his first season at Hunan. In the last game Johnson recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Hunan to another comfortable win outscoring Guangxi (0-2) 108-82. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Hunan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Vladimir Brodziansky (210-C/F-1994, agency: Octagon Europe) of

Jiangsu Yannan Suke (#3). Brodziansky got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was a key player of Jiangsu YS, leading his team to a 95-84 win against Hebei (1-1). Jiangsu YS needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victories and 1 lost games. The season just started for Brodziansky as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
