'Celebrity Sabotage': ITV unveils celeb line-up for new reality series

Published 9 hours ago3 minute read

ITV has unveiled the celebrities taking part in new entertainment reality game show ‘Celebrity Sabotage'.

Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Sam Thompson and GK Barry will team up to playfully sabotage unsuspecting contestants. Their mission? To complete daring and funny stunts in order to win a secret cash prize for the participants. Each week our gang of celebrity saboteurs will be joined by a NEW guest saboteur, including Jill Scott MBE, Fay Ripley, Olivia Attwood, Jo Brand, Guz Khan and Harry Redknapp. Who will join in on all the action and cause even more mischief and mayhem.

In each episode a fresh set of unsuspecting contestants will arrive, believing they're participating in a brand-new ITV show. These range from cooking challenges and relationship tests to business tasks and even murder mystery games. Little do they know that these shows are completely made up!

To make it even more convincing, these fake shows will have believable hosts, including familiar faces such as Clare Balding, Matt and Emma Willis, Monica Galetti, Jason Fox, Sara Davies and Rylan Clark. Everyone involved, from the celebrity saboteurs and the crew to the famous hosts, is in on the secret.

The celebrities are hidden away in their very own high-tech mission HQ, secretly watching the contestants’ every move. With props and disguises at their disposal, the question is: can the celebrities hold their nerve to successfully pull off some delightfully devious and convincingly cunning stunts, to win that big cash prize?

The stakes are high for our celebrity saboteurs. Every successfully executed sabotage mission will add more money to a secret prize pot. At the end of each episode, this pot will be revealed and shared equally among all the contestants – a complete surprise for them!

Joel Dommett said: “This show is absolute madness. Turns out making a new fake reality TV show every week and secretly sabotaging the real contestants to win them money is REALLY FUN! It's honestly the most I've laughed in ages. Such a lovely bunch of fellow saboteurs too – Sam, GK, Judi and me made some mischief that needs to be seen to be believed.”

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV said: “Celebrity Sabotage is a unique combination of hidden camera, reality and gameshow, delivering big laughs with a fantastic celebrity cast. We are delighted to bring this exciting new format to the ITV audience.”

Richard Cowles, Managing Director of Lifted Entertainment said: “Whether it be hidden camera, reality or game shows, at Lifted Entertainment we specialise in creating formats that have broad appeal. Celebrity Sabotage incorporates all of those disciplines in a prime time show that sees celebrities duping members of the public. There are loads of laughs and the celebrities’ sabotage is all for a good cause – to win them loads of cash.”
