According to the burial programme, mass and a vigil will take place today, Wednesday, June 4, at the Naguru home of Captain Francis Babu. Tomorrow, Thursday, June 5, another mass and vigil will also be held at the same residence.

On Friday, June 6, a requiem mass will be held at Rubaga Cathedral before the body is taken to Kamengo, where mourners will hold a final vigil.

Cedric will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 7.

Before then, tomorrow’s programme includes a public viewing at Lugogo Indoor Stadium, where sports fans and friends will gather to pay their last respects.

Cedric's death has drawn tributes from across Uganda. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces and President of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), called him a "brother, close friend, and comrade in the struggle."

He praised Cedric's contribution to public life, noting his excellence in tennis, success in business, and bold entry into politics.

"Where many children of Uganda’s elite families avoid politics, Cedric had the courage to participate in the governance of his country," Gen. Kainerugaba said.

The Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), where Cedric once hosted The Cedric Live Show, described him as a "valued member of the UBC family" and recognised the energy and insight he brought to television.

Cedric leaves behind a wife and three sons.
