In a condolence message on behalf of himself, Service Chiefs and the entire men and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), General Musa extended heartfelt condolences to the President Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, His Excellencey President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, former President Muhammadu Buhari family, and the nation at large over the loss of a revered elder statesman, a patriot and a gallant senior officer.

A statement by the Director, Defence Information Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, said General Musa described the late President Buhari as an exemplary leader whose life was defined by discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria. He noted that President Buhari’s contributions to national development, both in the military and democratic leadership, have left an enduring legacy in Nigeria’s history.

The CDS also noted that the late President has written his name in gold as an incorruptible leader and vanguard of prudency. “President Buhari was a symbol of dedication to national service,” the CDS said. “He fought tirelessly for the unity and indivisibility of our great country. His leadership, courage, and principles will continue to inspire generations of citizens.”

The CDS also emphasized the late President’s embodiment of strict discipline, and adherence to rule of law was a defining hallmark of his leadership in both military and democratic governance. “ President Buhari’s zero tolerance for indiscipline remains worthy of emulation,” General Musa added.

While praying for the peaceful repose of the former President’s soul, the CDS pray Almighty Allah to grant his family, and the entire nation the fortitude to bear this monumental loss.
