Caitlin Clark Makes Blunt Admission About Indiana Fever's Problem After Second Loss

Published 13 hours ago2 minute read

The Indiana Fever picked up their second loss of the 2025 WNBA season in four games, bowing to the New York Liberty 90-88.

It was another close encounter for Indiana, but once again, the team failed to execute in the end. A Lexie Hull foul on Sabrina Ionescu and a Caitlin Clark turnover, both in the closing seconds, prevented the Fever from at least tying the game and getting a shot at victory.

Aliyah Boston led the Fever with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Clark finished with 18 points, five rebounds and 10 assists. However, the All-Star playmaker also had 10 turnovers, as the Liberty made sure to make life difficult for her to slow down the Indiana offense.

After the game, Clark got brutally honest about the Fever's performance, pointing out that they have issues with consistency.

“I think consistency is definitely where we can be a lot better," Clark shared. "It feels like every game we’ve only really put two quarters together. We’re kind of waiting for that four quarters of really good basketball."

Clark also admitted that "it's gonna be a learning curve," but she emphasized that they need to do it if they "wanna beat the really good teams in this league."

"You've got to find a way to put together four really good quarters," Clark added.

For what it's worth, Clark also talked  about the fact that the Fever could have been 4-0. Indiana's other defeat was a one-point loss to the Atlanta Dream, with the team failing to make the game-winning shot despite two attempts in that contest.

Clark noted that their defense to start the game against the Liberty was "poor" and that they were lacking energy. However, she remains optimistic that Indiana will be able to get it going as the season progresses.
