High Court has issued conservatory orders barring swearing in of the nominated IEBC commissioners. Justice Lawrence Mugambi ruled that, while respecting the doctrine of separation of powers, the vetting of the nominees by Parliament may proceed. However, the commissioners shall not be sworn in until a petition challenging the nomination process is determined.
