Bibiani MP, MCE donate GHC50,000 as winning bonus to Bibiani Goldstars Club

Bibiani (WN/R), June 10, GNA – Mr Bright Asamoah Brefo, the Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, and Mr Sebastian Obeng, Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), have donated GHC50,000 to Bibiani Gold Stars Club as winning bonus for clinching the 2025 Ghana Premier League title.
The MP during the presentation said the team had worked tirelessly with determination throughout the season to secure their place at the top of the league table. Hence, the players, coaches, and staff deserved to celebrate this historic victory.
He added that the final match of the season was a nail-biter, with Bibiani Gold Stars facing off against a tough opponent, Accra Lions.
“However, the team’s resolve and focus saw them through, and they secured a convincing win that sealed their championship title,” Mr Brefo said.
The MCE for his part, said the victory paraded with the celebration was a testament to the team’s hard work, popularity, and the fans’ unwavering support.
He said the win was for the entire nation, the region, and particularly the municipality.
Mr Obeng encouraged the team to continue their winning streak and to make the constituency proud as they would represent the country in the continent’s club champions league competition.
“We are proud of your achievement and believe in your potential to bring more glory to our dear Municipality,” he added.
The team’s management and players expressed their gratitude to the MP and MCE for their generosity and support, before, during, and after the Premier League season.
Mr Kwasi Adu, the Chief Executive Officer for the club, said the win was not only a testament to the team’s prowess on the field, but also a source of pride for the entire Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituency, and the region.
“As Bibiani Gold Stars looks to the future, our 2025 Ghana Premier League title will remain a shining moment in the team’s history, so we appeal for continued support from our leaders and fans for more of this success,” he said.
