Bayern has shown that they are capable of responding to all challenges and problems throughout the season. When the team was initially formed, many believed it was a rather limited squad that Gordon Herbert would need more time to make competitive. However, they have only lost three times in Munich this season and managed to defeat Barcelona at the Blaugrana with a score of 102-101 ahead of this matchup.

Bayern now holds an 18-13 record and sits fifth in the EuroLeague standings, but they are just one win behind Monaco, who are in fourth place. Everyone is aware that the top four positions in the standings secure home-court advantage in the playoffs. Out of 15 games played in Munich, Bayern has lost only three, but given their current situation without a true center and their reliance on three-point shooting, they will need to be efficient from beyond the arc. At first glance, it seems they struggle to protect the paint, meaning they have several issues to address, which they can certainly manage by applying the famous saying: “the best defense is a good offense.”

Partizan has shown two completely different faces in the EuroLeague this season. After winning just two of their first ten games, no one expected them to be competitive. However, they then went on a 13-4 run and were recently in contention for a direct playoff spot. Three consecutive losses against Barcelona, Olympiacos, and Anadolu Efes complicated their situation, but Partizan bounced back with a victory over Alba Berlin to return to the winning column. They now hold a 16-15 record and are fighting for a play-in spot.

The game against Alba Berlin unfolded under highly favorable circumstances for Zeljko Obradovic’s team. Tyrique Jones played only five minutes due to a minor injury sustained in the first half, but Brandon Davies took advantage of the situation by scoring 22 points, while Balsa Koprivica also stepped up. The most important takeaway for this team was that Sterling Brown and Carlik Jones found their rhythm. Additionally, Isaac Bonga had been sidelined for a significant period due to injury, but he has now recovered and immediately proved how valuable he is to the team, both offensively and defensively.
