Bauchi signs MoU with Diaspora to attract funds for social projects - Daily Trust

The Bauchi state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigerians in Diaspora to facilitate the attraction of funds for the execution of critical social projects in education, health, and other social sectors within the state.

The MoU signing took place at the Nigerian Diaspora MSMEs & Job Creation Investment Summit, organized by the Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS) 12th-year edition, held at the prestigious Copthorne Tara Hotel, London Kensington.

The governor of Bauchi, Senator Abdulkadir Bala Mohammed represented by the Secretary to the State Government,Hon. Aminu Hammayo sealed the partnership during the (NDDIS) event.

Speaking on the significance of the agreement, founder of NDDIS, Prince Bimbo Folayan stressed the power of diaspora engagement in driving socio economic transformation in Nigeria.

“This MoU represents a major step in connecting the Nigerian diaspora with impactful projects in Bauchi State. Through strategic funding and mentorship, we can create real change in critical sectors like education and healthcare,” he stated.

He hinted that the group will extend its partnership to Katsina state in an effort to support the state government.

“The role of the Nigerian diaspora is to help facilitate investment and funding opportunities back to our motherland. This is what NDDIS has been doing for several years, working with Nigerian governments and private businesses to attract capital, expertise, and mentorship that drive real impact,” he said.
