JAMMU, June 14: In commemoration of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day observed on June 15, Balgran organized today a thought-provoking symposium titled “Ensuring Abuse-Free Life of Elders”, underscoring the urgent need for respect, dignity, and protection for the elderly in society.
The event was held in a competitive format with the participation of 14 Balgran children, who eloquently expressed their views on the rights, challenges, and care of senior citizens. Their well-articulated presentations resonated with the audience and showcased the sensitivity and awareness among the younger generation on this vital issue.
Adding a creative touch to the programme, a skit titled “Baapu Ka Chashma” was presented by Balgran children — Mohd Izkar, Sonu Sharma, Sourav Sharma and Manisha Sharma.
