In other news, the High Court at Milimani ruled that a car owned by Mohamed Hassan Kini, a Daihatsu station wagon, was acquired using proceeds from drug traff*cking and ordered it forfeited to the ARA.
Kini, arrested in 2021 with cannab*s and hero*n worth KSh 1.6 million, failed to justify the source of over KSh 6.4 million in his accounts.
The ruling directed the National Transport and Safety Authority to transfer the vehicle to ARA, which has also announced a public auction of other seized assets.
