Arunachal’s Tuting hosts Udyami Panjikaran Mela 2025 to boost rural entrepreneurship

Itanagar: The Udyami Panjikaran Mela 2025 was successfully organised in the remote border town of Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang district on Wednesday.Organised by the Indian Army's Spear Corps under Operation Sadbhavana in association with the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), the event reflected a strong spirit of cooperation between military and civil society in advancing rural development. The fair was designed to encourage entrepreneurship and promote participation of self-help groups (SHGs) in building a sustainable platform for local farmers, artisans and rural producers. It also focused on providing reliable and long-term market linkages for indigenous products and agricultural goods. The participating SHGs, farmers and entrepreneurs were given on-the-spot support for registration, business development advice, and exposure to various govt schemes aimed at empowering rural livelihoods.Participants interacted with officials, representatives of financial institutions, market experts, etc., and gained knowledge on how to upscale their products and services for bigger markets. Representatives from the Army and the ArSRLM reiterated their shared vision to encourage self-reliance, economic independence, and sustainable growth through such inclusive development programmes.
