In a shocking turn of events, the Delta State Police have apprehended a father and his second wife following the untimely deaths of three sisters during a visit to their father's residence. The couple resides within the Delta Steel Housing Complex, situated in Township 1, Orhuwhorun, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State. Reports indicate that the sisters, who lived separately from their father, would occasionally visit. Their father had remarried after their mother's death, an event that occurred less than a year prior to this tragedy.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, especially given the recent loss of the sisters' mother. According to sources, the father remarried shortly after his first wife's passing, with the stepmother reportedly being a close acquaintance of the deceased. It is alleged that the sisters returned to their father's house from a birthday party the day before their bodies were discovered.

According to sources, the sisters allegedly returned from a birthday party the previous day to their father’s DSC residence only to be found foaming at the mouth the next day.

Delta State Police Command's image maker, Edafe Bright, a Superintendent, confirmed the incident, stating, "We are treating this as a suspicious death and are exploring all angles. The public will be updated as we make progress." The police are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

In a separate development, two Tiv boys from Benue State have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of an engineer. The engineer was contracted to construct offices in Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarters of Oshimili North Local Government Area in Delta State. The incident reportedly occurred in December 2024. Details surrounding the crime have only recently surfaced following the arrest of the two suspects.

Community sources revealed that the suspects allegedly killed the engineer and concealed his body in a shallow grave on a farm. Edafe Bright confirmed that the body has been exhumed. "We are aware of the incident, and our men are working to ensure others involved are apprehended," he assured.
