Sn-oops!

A nosy American Airlines passenger forced her flight into a diverted landing by reporting a bomb threat over a drastically misinterpreted text message they spied on another flyer’s phone.

The flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Dallas was forced to land in Isla Verde just a half hour after take-off Thursday morning when the unidentified screen-peeping passenger alerted the crew over a supposedly suspicious message, USA Today reported.

The text message that set off the scare simply read “RIP” — the acronym for “Rest in Peace” — which the alarmist believed was a threat to the entire flight.

The peeper told a stewardess who alerted the cockpit which initiated the emergency safety protocols, local Primera Hora reported citing authorities.

Puerto Rican authorities later questioned the passenger that received the midair text, who revealed that their relative had died the day before, which was the purpose of his trip to Dallas.

The US territory’s Office of Explosive and Public Safety confirmed there was no legitimate threat and American flight was able to re-depart Puerto Rico and land in the Lone Star State Friday.

American Airlines did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
