This investment is expected to improve the local economy and deliver advanced cloud solutions to businesses throughout Asia, Reuters noted.
In a statement to BreakingTheNews, Prasad Kalyanaraman, vice president of Infrastructure Services at AWS, said: “The new AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region will enable organisations of all sizes to build and scale with confidence using our comprehensive suite of cloud services, ranging from foundational compute and storage to advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, all while meeting local data residency requirements.”As per IndexBox data, the cloud computing market in Asia is likely to grow substantially, with Taiwan playing a pivotal role in the region's digital transformation. Amazon’s strategic move seems to aim to tap into this rising demand by providing scalable and secure cloud services to a wide array of industries.
