Someone, perhaps, like the photographer Theo Wenner or Jean-Michel Basquiat. Both of whom featured in recent social media teasers as “epitomes of style”.

But before that came Prada’s bookish heartthrobs – Harris Dickinson, Riz Ahmed, Archie Madekwe and Benedict Cumberbatch – alongside Dolce & Gabbana’s slightly less complicated offering – Theo James – in Milan. Then, as the season moves onwards to Paris, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Wales Bonner and Jacquemus will unveil their proposals, each drawing its own starry entourage.
