Air Peace Welcomes First Embraer 190 Aircraft to Boost Regional Operations, Another Expected Next Month
Air Peace has expanded its fleet with the arrival of its first Embraer 190 aircraft, marking a strategic addition to the airline’s growing operations across Nigeria and West Africa.
The 118-seater aircraft, bearing registration 5N-CEF, landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday. This is the first of its type in the airline’s fleet, with another unit expected to arrive next month.
In a statement to journalists, Air Peace spokesperson Osifo-Whiskey Efe said the Embraer 190 model introduces a new level of efficiency and passenger comfort into the airline’s operations.
“This aircraft type brings a new dimension to our service offerings. It is designed for efficiency, eco-friendly installations, and passenger comfort, such as a 2-2 seating layout, quiet and spacious cabin, making it the ideal fit for many of our routes. It enables us to connect more cities seamlessly and serve underserved destinations with the right capacity” he noted.
Efe then reaffirmed Air Peace’s commitment to easing the burden of air travel in Nigeria through continued investment in modern aircraft.
With a current fleet of over 30 aircraft, Air Peace maintains a strong presence across the region and has consistently recorded high operational performance.
In May 2025, the airline posted an average on-time performance of 85% across its domestic routes.
Looking ahead to the third quarter of 2025, the airline says it plans to launch new domestic routes, expand its regional footprint, and introduce more international services, supported by ongoing strategic fleet acquisitions.
