Founder and president of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), Mike Dada, has taken to social media to honour his late wife, Modupe Dada, on what would have been her 49th birthday.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, the media executive shared a photo of Modupe and penned an emotional tribute.

“Darling, you would have been 49 years old today, but God knows best. It’s been painfully tough without you! The grief is perpetual, but my love for you is forever. Still struggling to comprehend… We miss you dearly. Continue to rest well in His infinite glory. In the end, it will be well,” he wrote.

Modupe Dada (née Baruwa), who served as vice-president of AFRIMA and was also an accomplished bank executive, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

At the time of her death, Mike described her as a woman of strong family values and deep compassion, with a heart for God, community service and the African continent.

Born on May 5, 1976, she is survived by her husband, two children, and siblings.
