Africa Launches First Tokenized Investment Platform

DeFi project Xend Finance announced the launch of Africa’s first platform for investing in tokenized real-world assets (RWA). The project operates through a mobile app and allows users to invest in international real estate and shares of world-renowned companies such as Apple and Tesla, using USDT or USDC. The project’s partner is the digital wealth management platform RiseVest.

The minimum investment amount is $5, making the platform especially attractive to users from low-income countries with limited access to traditional financial instruments. Tokenized assets are stored on the Asset Chain blockchain and don’t require opening a brokerage account or paying fees.

Asset Chain is a high-performance blockchain network optimized for tokenization of RWAs. Asset Chain offers zero transaction fees, instant settlements in stablecoins, and verifiable ownership rights to assets.

Xend Finance CEO Ugochukwu Aronu emphasized that the launch of this product is a strategic step toward providing users in developing countries with access to global investment tools without intermediaries and barriers.

In the future, Xend Finance plans to expand its RWA product line by partnering with leading financial institutions, asset tokenization service providers, and FinTech platforms in emerging markets.

The potential of African countries attracts significant interest from FinTech companies. For example, Ripple and Chipper Cash partnered in March 2025 to implement cross-border payments using cryptocurrencies in Africa.
