Adi Irani Recalls Being Left Bleeding on Set by Salman Khan

Adi Irani, a Bollywood actor known for his roles in films like 'Dil' and 'Baazigar,' recently shared an anecdote about working with Salman Khan in the movie 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.' In an interview with Filmymantra Media, Irani recounted an on-set incident where he was injured due to Salman's actions.
Irani clarified that Salman's behavior wasn't rooted in arrogance but rather in a desire to live life on his own terms. He described it as a form of childishness, where Salman would simply refuse to do anything he didn't want to.
The incident occurred during the filming of 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.' Irani explained, "While shooting for Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, he threw me into a glass frame. Glass pieces injured my face. It was bleeding. Bahut bura haal hua tha mera (I was in terrible condition)." He further added that he prevented the shoot from being canceled to avoid losses for the producers.
When asked about Salman's reaction to the incident, Irani revealed that Salman initially left the scene without apologizing. "Jab pehle laga tha, woh toh bahar hi nikal gaya tha. No sorry, nothing, he went out. Of course, he saw the blood, lekin chala hi gaya bahar, apne room mein jaake baith gaya (When I first got injured, he stormed off. He saw the blood but he just left and went to sit in his room)." However, the next day, Salman apologized to Irani, expressing remorse for his actions.
'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke,' directed by Abbas-Mustan, is a romantic drama featuring Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Preity Zinta. The film explores the story of a married couple who hire a surrogate mother.
Adi Irani's career spans several decades, with his debut in the 1978 film 'Trishna.' He has played supporting roles in numerous films and television shows, including 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' and 'Naaginn.'
