ADC: Lagos executive visit national secretary
In a bid to strengthen party unity and discuss the future of inclusive political leadership, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Lagos state executive committee paid a courtesy visit to the Interim National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, in Lagos.
Led by the state chairman, Engr. George Ashiru, the team of executive engaged in a fruitful discussion with Aregbesola on the party’s vision for national development and people-friendly governance.
A statement by the ADC director of communications in Lagos state, Mabel Oboh, said the meeting highlighted the party’s commitment to putting people at the centre of governance and delivering a government that truly serves the needs of the citizens.
“Key discussions during the meeting centred around party administration, where the executives deliberated on ways to streamline party operations and improve efficiency.
“They also discussed strategies for a successful membership drive, focusing on how to increase party membership and engage with the community.
“Furthermore, the executives reaffirmed the party’s vision and mission, emphasising their commitment to promoting inclusive leadership and ensuring that the party’s policies and programs are geared towards the betterment of society. They explored ways to strengthen the party’s structure and build a strong foundation for future elections.”
The meeting was attended by key members of the Lagos state executive, including deputy chairperson Magistrate (Mrs) Roseline Giwa Amu, Vice Chair Lagos East Mrs. Yetunde Disu, state secretary Hon. Festus Duru, Organising Secretary Dr. Muhammed Ogidi, chief Wwip, Chief Christopher Edhiale, and state director of Communication Mabel Oboh.
“The visit demonstrates the party’s commitment to building a strong and united leadership, and its determination to deliver a people-friendly government that prioritises the needs of the citizens.
“The ADC Lagos State Executive Committee’s gesture is seen as a positive step towards consolidating the party’s position and promoting a new era of politics that puts people at the forefront.
“The meeting was described as fruitful and constructive, with both parties expressing optimism about the future of the party and its potential to make a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
“The ADC’s vision for a people-friendly government and inclusive leadership is expected to resonate with many Nigerians who are looking for a change from the status quo. As the party continues to build momentum, the visit is seen as a significant step towards achieving its goals and realising its vision for a better Lagos,” the statement added.
