Ethan’s strength has always been his loyalty to his team. This time, it may be his downfall.

: The cast includes Ving Rhames (the only other cast member besides Cruise who has appeared in all eight films), Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Nick Offerman, Angela Bassett, and Mariela Garriga.

: Rumored to be the most expensive film ever made. Will this be the last mission for Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt?

: I can’t believe the first film, Mission: Impossible, was released in 1996. By the way, Tom Cruise was 33 when he made the first film. He is now 62. 

Lilo & Stitch

: Lilo & Stitch is about Lilo (Mala Kealoha), a rebellious six-year-old orphan who has recently lost her parents and is being raised by her older sister, Nani (Sydney Elizabeth Augdong). Lilo finds and befriends a strange-looking ‘dog,’ who she names Stitch. What Lilo doesn’t know is that ‘Stitch’ is a genetically engineered extraterrestrial creature designed to cause chaos and destruction and is being hunted by the alien United Galactic Federation.

:  Chris Sanders, the voice of Stitch in the original 2002 animated movie, reprises his role in this film. 

: Tia Carrere, who voiced Lilo’s older sister Nani in the 2002 animated movie, plays Mrs. Kekoa, a new character in this film.

: The film was shot in Hawaii, which, of course, was also the setting for the 2002 film.

Fear Street: Prom Queen

: Set in 1988, Fear Street: Prom Queen takes place as students at Shadyside prepare for the prom, and the ‘it’ girls are fighting to get support to be voted Prom Queen. An unusual candidate, Lori Granger (India Fowler), joins the race. Suddenly, some candidates go missing one by one, and Lori goes on a mission to find out what happened to them.

: The film is based on a Fear Street series book, The Prom Queen, by R. L Stine. 

: This is the fourth film in the Fear Street series. This is an independent storyline, separate from the first three films that were made as a trilogy.

: India Fowler is best known for her roles as Lillie Massen in the TV series The Nevers and as Poppy in The Agency: Central Intelligence.

The Last Rodeo

: The Last Rodeo is about Joe Wainwright (Neal McDonald), a retired champion bull rider whose rodeo days are long in the painful past. Entering a bull-riding competition as the oldest competitor ever, he risks everything to save his grandson. Through his journey, he heals old wounds with his estranged daughter and demonstrates the power of courage when you’re fighting for your family.

:  The film is from filmmaker Jon Avnet, known for his films Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), Up Close & Personal (1996), and his Emmy-nominated work on The Starter Wife and The Burning Bed.

:  The film was done in collaboration with the Professional Bull Riding Association. McDonald is a part-owner of one of the Professional Bull Riding teams that appear on the PBR circuit.

:  It is known that McDonald will not kiss anyone on screen because of his beliefs and marriage. In the movie, Ruvé McDonough, the wife of McDonald, appears as his character’s wife, leading to McDonough’s first on-screen kiss.

Fountain of Youth

: Fountain of Youth is about a treasure-hunting mastermind (John Krasinski) who has stolen art and other artifacts for a living is about to go on a quest to find what could be the secret to immortality. He will need all his skills and wits to accomplish his goal, but also needs the help of someone even smarter than him, his estranged sister (Natalie Portman).

: The film is directed by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes (2009), The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024) and is written by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac (2007), White House Down (2013) and Scream (2022).

t: The film was shot on location around the world, including Bangkok, Cairo, Liverpool, and Vienna.

: The outstanding cast includes Eiza González, Stanley Tucci, Laz Alonso, and Domhnall Gleeson.

Jane Austen Wrecked My Life

: In Jane Austen Wrecked My Life, Agathe (Camille Rutherford) is a Jane Austen fanatic who works at the world-famous Paris bookstore Shakespeare & Co. When Agathe suddenly receives a Jane Austen writing residency, she meets a fellow writer (Charlie Anson) and now must choose between a writing career and her love life. 

: The film was nominated for the First Feature Award at the 2025 Miami Film Festival.

: The film premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and was the open night film at the 40th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

:  Camille Rutherford has been a favorite of mine, appearing in some great films like Anatomy of a Fall (2023), Blue Is the Warmest Colour (2013), and Holy Motors (2012).

The New Boy

:  Set in 1940s Australia, The New Boy is the story of a nine-year-old Aboriginal orphan (Aswan Reid) brought to a Christian monastery for indigenous boys, run by a nun, Sister Eileen (Cate Blanchett). Sister Eileen is hiding a secret, and this new addition will change the lives of everyone he encounters. 

  Writer/director Warwick Thornton’s own experiences inspired the film from his years as a boy in a Benedictine monastery boarding school.

:  Cate Blanchett produced the film under her Dirty Films production banner.

: The film has been a hit on the film festival circuit, making its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
