Here’s a list of things to do the weekend of June 6-9, 2025:

Taste of Charlotte Festival (Uptown), Friday through Sunday: Take a bite out of some of the best dishes in the Queen City. Dozens of the hottest local restaurants and startups are showcasing their most iconic dishes to win the “Best of Taste Awards.” You’ll have three stages for live entertainment all day long, plus a local vendor marketplace and a kids activity area. Admission is free. Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert (Belk Theater), Friday & Saturday 7:30 p.m.: Hop on the Hogwarts Express for a magical musical journey through Harry Potter’s second year at the School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. Bring your little wizards and witches to the Belk Theater for a big screen experience with John Williams’ legendary score played by the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra right in front of your eyes. Tickets start at $46.39.

Savannah Bananas (Bank of America Stadium), Friday & Saturday 7 p.m.: Uptown is going to look a little more yellow this weekend as the Savannah Bananas turn Bank of America into a baseball field for its first time ever. This is the Bananas’ first time in the Queen City and was easily a hot ticket: selling out all 74,000 seats for each day. The long-awaited game against the Party Animals is an all-day affair with plenty of fun before the first pitch including a fan zone, early merch sales and more. Resale tickets are still available but beware of scams.

Big Weiner Weekend (Goldies Charlotte), Friday through Sunday: When the sun is out, the buns come out. Head to Goldies for their second annual Big Weiner Weekend. Grab deals on their hot dogs all weekend long and play games like Big Weiner Plinko and Wheel of Weiner Spin. Think you have what it takes to win the hot dog eating contest?

Charlotte Knights vs. Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Truist Field), through Sunday: It’s another week of exciting games in Uptown for our Knights as they take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Don’t miss fireworks Friday night, Orange Ball on Saturday, and Sunday Family Funday. Tickets start at $20.

Charlotte Squawks (Booth Playhouse), opening weekend: If you love Charlotte, you’ll love the 20th anniversary of Charlotte Squawks. From pop culture to politics, sports and everything in between, Charlotte Squawks will get you laughing with musical parodies and laugh out loud skits with some of the biggest stories from the last year. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. this weekend. Tickets start at $39.61.

NoDa Brewing Pride Fest (North End Taproom), Saturday noon to 7 p.m.: Celebrate love with an afternoon of good vibes. Shop at the market filled with vendors and artists, get a flash tattoo by High Vibes Tattoo, and enjoy live music, delicious food trucks and drinks. Proceeds benefit Time Out Youth supporting the LGBTQ+ community in the Charlotte area. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Charlotte Margarita & Mimosa Fest (Encore Nightclub), Saturday 2 to 8 p.m.: Sip on some great summer vibes at the Charlotte Margarita & Mimosa Fest. Grab your map for a bar crawl through some of Uptown’s best restaurants and bars with special deals only available to ticketholders. Tickets start at $29.99.

Charlotte Symphony Summer Pops (Symphony Park), Sunday 8:15 p.m.: It’s the opening night of the summer tradition! Enjoy a live performance by the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra under the stars for the first of four Sunday shows. To kick off the series, you’ll hear classical’s greatest hits. WBTV’s First Alert Weather is the official weather partner of Summer Pops. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for youth 13-18, free for children 12 and under.
