2 injured after fire breaks out at hotel in Mumbai's Andheri East

MUMBAI: Two people suffered injuries after a fire broke out early Monday morning on the sixth floor of a hotel in Andheri East.The blaze was reported around 3:19am at Hotel Jyoti Dwelling, a seven-storey building located at Dr Charat Singh Colony, New Chakala, Andheri (East). The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) declared it a Level I fire at 3:55am and managed to bring it under control by 5:26am.The fire, confined to Room 605 on the sixth floor, damaged electrical wiring, installations, a split AC unit, curtains, mattress, bed, laptop, passport, documents, and wooden cupboards, according to MFB officials.Two guests sustained burn injuries. Sandip Goyal, 31, suffered a burn on his left palm, while Disha Agarwal, 30, received minor burns. Both were treated at Cooper Hospital and later discharged, said authorities at the hospital.The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
