Stephen King is an incredibly prolific modern author, best known for his works in the horror genre. King's novels and novellas have landed on the New York Times Best Seller list multiple times, and several have been adapted into critically acclaimed films. He is renowned for his ability to craft a chilling atmosphere and infuse his scares with a compelling sense of mystery and intrigue.
Luckily, even after they've exhausted his filmography, King's fans have plenty of options for entertainment. A consistent part of the media landscape for decades, he's been an inspiration for horror auteurs. And with the rise of horror television, King's influence can be seen across the TV landscape.

Adapted from Robert R. McCammon's novel Stinger, Teacup centers on the Chenoweth family. Veterinarian Maggie (Yvonne Stahovski) and her husband James (Scott Speedman) live on an isolated southern ranch with their children Arlo (Caleb Dolden) and Meryl (Emilie Bierre). Arlo encounters a strange visitor, and the family finds themselves trapped by an unknowable entity with unearthly powers.
While King wasn't involved in the creation of Teacup, he is a fan of the Peacock series. The famed author took to social media urging his fans to give the horror series a watch, but despite the push, Teacup was not renewed for a second season. The news is disheartening, as

The Netflix horror miniseries The Fall of The House of Usher takes its name from one of Edgar Allan Poe's most famous stories, but rather than a straight adaptation, it's an homage to all of Poe's twisted tales. Unlike the short story it takes its name from, the show is set in the 21st century. The sprawling Usher family owns a pharmaceutical company that has granted them near endless wealth. In each episode, a strange woman named Verna (Carla Gugino) pays a call on one of the Ushers, whose life unravels based on a different classic Poe story.

Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of Chuck Hogan's The Strain trilogy is a decidedly grim vampire story. The series veers away from the more modern romanticized portrayals of vampires and leans into all the creatures' most grotesque attributes. The show centers on CDC official Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, who is confronted with a rapidly spreading virus that transforms humans into vampiric monsters.

True to its name, the 2005 anthology series Masters of Horror features some of the biggest names in the genre, including John Carpenter, Guillermo del Toro, Tobe Hooper, Dario Argento, David Cronenberg, and Wes Craven. Each episode is directed by a different cinematic titan and tells a fully contained tale. There's a truly impressive breadth to Stephen King's works. While the writer has certain recurring themes and motifs that he likes to explore, his subjects are really quite varied.

NOS4A2 centers around the battle of wills between Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings), a troubled young girl with a preternatural gift for finding things, and Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto), an immortal vampire who kidnaps children to stay young. For over a hundred years, Manx has been luring kids into his car, stealing their souls and dropping them off in a strange realm known as Christmasland. When Vic's powers lead her to stumble into Christmasland, she realizes that she's the only one with the power to stop Manx and restore the children's souls.
NOS4A2 is an adaptation of a novel by Joe Hill, King's son. While Hill has done a fantastic job of establishing his own voice, there are undeniable parallels between his works and his father's.
There have been many adaptations of King's stories, but none of them are quite like Castle Rock. Rather than an adaptation of a single one of his books, this series draws inspiration from his oeuvre to create its own unique world. Its first season focuses on attorney Henry Deaver (Andre Holland), who is hired to represent a mysterious nameless prisoner (Bill Skarsgard) at Shawshank Prison. The second season follows single mother Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan) as she settles in a town with a burgeoning vampire problem.
The series mashes together characters and locales from King's many stories to craft something that is both new and wholly unfamiliar. While this may sound like a gimmick, it's remarkably effective, especially for fans of King's films.

In the Netflix limited series Midnight Mass, Riley Finn (Zach Gilford) is released from prison and returns to the small northern fishing town where he grew up, located on an isolated island. His return coincides with the arrival of a charismatic priest named Father Paul (Hamish Linklater). When miracles begin occurring around the tightknit community, many flock to the local priest, but Riley has the uneasy sense that something far more sinister is at work.
Midnight Mass has so many of King's common tropes that it's a wonder he wasn't the one who penned the story. It centers on a small New England town with a dark secret at the core. The series leans heavily into religious imagery and explores the interplay between faith and fear. At its heart, like so many of King's novels, Midnight Mass is a study of human morality and how a single person's actions can move through a community. When the series debuted, it earned an endorsement from King and has since been counted by many as one of the best horror shows in TV history.
